Mobile giant MTS sees clients migrating from Moscow to regions
MOSCOW, Apr 13 (PRIME) -- More than 15% of Muscovites, MTS subscribers, the country’s largest mobile operator, self-quarantine outside the capital city, and 79% of them went to the Moscow Region and 21% to the other regions, according to the operator’s research seen by PRIME on Monday.
“The peak of migration to the Moscow Region occurred on March 28, the first day off after prolongation of the non-working days through April 30. The bulk, or 85% moved to the cottage houses, stay there, and 15% go to Moscow from time to time,” the research read.
The clients moved loading on the networks toward the region as well.
The study is based on anonymized data of subscribers from March 28 till April 8.
Mobile operator MegaFon observed a similar trend.
